For the second year in a row Director / Producer Joy Tessman of BolderVision Films is a finalist at the Banff Mountain Film Festival. Edge Dancing … A Journey Across Siberia is the story of two young kayaker / photographers whose nations had conditioned them to be enemies, but who came to depend on each other at the extreme edges of the disintegrating Soviet Union. Tessman will introduce the film at its world premier during the November 8, 2003 Saturday night Banff Film Festival program. |

Tessman’s film Shepherd Women of Shambala was also a finalist in the Banff Mountain Film Festival in 2002. Through the Festival’s World Tour and other venues, audiences worldwide experienced this moving story of the spirit of women and the power of kindness set among Ismali Muslim shepherd women in the high passes of Northern Pakistan’s Karakoram Mountains. |
